Diapers 101: Taped Diapers
At Pampers, all of our diapers are super absorbent, comfortable, and are made from safe and effective ingredients that cater to the needs of every baby and every parent.Let’s take a look at one of our most popular designs, the taped diaper.
What Is A Taped Diaper?
Taped Diapers use soft strips of “tape” to secure the diaper around baby’s waist, allowing for a custom and adjustable fit for your baby. Suitable for babies of various shapes and sizes, Taped Diapers are a common choice among parents. They allow for a more custom fit, which can be especially useful for newborns whose umbilical cords haven’t fallen off yet.
Taped Diapers are also recommended for newborns because they mostly lie on their back and stay still throughout the day. Using the tape feature, the diaper can be put on while lying down, which makes the changing process easy and convenient. And as Pampers diapers offer the ultimate in absorbency and leak protection, some parents will also use Taped Diapers on older babies at night while they are sound asleep.
No matter what your reason may be for choosing Taped Diapers, it’s important to make sure that they’re comfortable and effective for your baby’s needs. Throughout the diapering journey, you’ll be using a lot of them! Below, we explore the features of a Pampers Swaddlers Taped Diaper.

How To Use Taped Diapers
All Pampers diapers have adaptable sides that adjust to body shape. Here are a few ways you can tell if the adjustable diaper is the correct size and fit for your baby:
For a properly fitting diaper, it will appear straight and evenly proportioned on your baby.
The waist should be snug with the diaper just under the belly button and the leg cuffs wrapped neatly around your baby’s legs and bottom.
Run your fingers around the edges to check the cuffs are pulled out. If there’s a tucked cuff, it can cause leakage from the diaper.
The tapes of the diaper should be symmetrically fastened on the color waistband at the front of the diaper.
