Our researchers work with internal and external experts to integrate the latest safety methodologies used around the world.

Skin Safe Products Recognized Globally By Trustworthy Organizations

Our products are in compliance with safety requirements from the EU Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

We also have independent accreditation from the Skin Health Alliance (SHA). The SHA provides an independent dermatological accreditation for the skin safety and efficacy of Pampers diaper and wipe products. The SHA approved Pampers diaper and wipes products to be safe when in contact with your baby’s delicate skin.

Pampers Clinical Data and Research

At Pampers, we are proud to have over 700 technical and scientific staff globally working on Pampers products and topics pertinent to babies – such as skin and sleep. We have over 100 published scientific and safety studies and presentations, from exploring science behind baby’s development to clinical studies that show how Pampers products are superior in performance, quality, and safety. Here are a few of them:

A study published in 2009 found that Pampers Sensitive Wipes maintained skin pH at healthy levels, whereas using washcloths and water raised skin surface pH to irregular levels.

Two recent studies, one in 2020 and one in 2021, found that using a super-absorbent diaper with a pH buffered wipe helped restore the skin’s natural pH and improve the skin condition. Using a regimen of Pampers® Swaddlers and Pampers® Sensitive™ Wipes was shown to help reduce severe skin surface redness in diapered infant skin.
